My journey to Islam was a long, hard, rocky path. I won't go into details at this time, however I would like to say that wonderful websites such as this one have been of tremendous help. I live two hours from the nearest Masjid and cannot go very often. Also attending classes is just not possible at this time.
I managed to find teaching places on the web, that provide the daleel for all that is said. Everywhere there are good Muslim brothers and sisters who beg to be given the opportunity to earn good deeds by helping a fellow Muslim on the road to Jannah. SubhanaAllah!

(User Info | Send a Message) | Salamu alaykum. It was a combination of wonderful Muslim sisters who helped me convert. Before converting I did not know any Muslim women, so I voted for Islamic Center since that is where I came for help.
The sisters at the center were helpful and willing to explain and answer any questions I had. I remember going there early in the morning when it was not crowded and I as I remember I asked the first sister I saw if she could answer a few questions. Well...she did not speak english so she asked another sister to help me and mashallah I gave my shahada to that sister in less than a month over the phone.

When I desided to look into Islam as a religion I went to the nearest Islamic center in my state. I was escorted by my brother. (he studied Islam but is not muslim)...
I was greated so nicely and then taken on by a sister as her student. Mashallah, she helped me so so much. By the time I took Shahada, I really understood what Islam meant. Mashallah Alaik Aisha from Connecticut, if you ever read this. Thank you. You were Allahs vehicle in bringing me to Islam. Invitations to her home to eat with her family and help in choosing cloths and reading good books were invaluable. If it were not for her help I don't know what would have become of this.

When I voted, I said that my husband helped me to revert to Islam; but I felt strange saying this because I believe that it should say that Allah guided me to Islam, helped me to revert to Islam, through my husband. Alhamdo lellallah. |
