As Salaam Alaikum,

I have a question, and I am not sure if this can go here or in rulings.
I have been having some serious health problems and the only person I would trust to handle decisions and my money if I am not able to for myself is my exhusband.  Is it proper to leave a legal document letting him handle such things if Insha Allah it is needed or since he is an exhusband is it haram?

Fi Amanullah,

Amani

Assalamu alaikum,

I do not see the problem in it but I think it is better to have a fatwa for that. If I am not mistaken, you have no other members of your family who is Muslim. It might be needed for a fatwa.

I will copy your question in Islamic Rulings just in case a sister would have gone through similar circumstances.

As Salaam Alaikum,

That is correct, I have no relatives that are Muslim, and no close Muslim friends.  That is why I asked, my ex husb is the only Muslim that knows me and my wishes and that I would trust with handling my funds.  Thanks.

Fi Amanullah,

Amani
