I am fasting today, so this thread and your pic is the right thing for me now lol
What I like, when I get too lazy to eat fruits, is to blend them all together and add milk , so yummi... *drooling*

i'm like you, i do not like milk...but what about cheese (there is much more calcium in it) or yoghurt? You don't know what to do with yoghurt? Try turkish cooking, their speciality is yoghurt , they have 1001 ideas what to do with, mashAllah!
there is a very nice website : www.turkishcookbook.com (google to find it, i don't know how to write for you have only to click, sorry!)
think also about almonds, sesamseed (in arabic recipes you will find "tahina", cruched sesam with even more calcium than milk!)and nuts.
if you make your bread or biscuits you can put some milkpowder in it, there will be no taste of milk.
You did well asking the sisters about help, your health is an amana from Allah, subhanahu wa taala!
salam aleykum wa rahmatullah

i think the best for you could be "hummus", for one person:
you let one handfull dried chickpeas all the night in a pot with water and the next day you boil them for about one hour, til they are smooth, you throw the cooking water, or, if you don't have the time you take a can of chickpeas, clean them and dry them
than you add maybe three cloves of garlic, some salt , juice of one lemon and you mix all, ok you don't have a mixer now, crash them with a fork, you can add a joghurt (nature)and: this is the most important: maybe three tsp tahina (crushed sesamseed), mix all, put in a plate and cover all with olive oil. eat with bread, there is a LOT of in calcium in this dish! Hope you understood me, excuse my english!
salam

you are welcome! if you have other questions don't hesitate
alhamdulillah, i hope you will enjoy the hommus!
does row mean not cooked? If yes, thats right, the garlic has to be raw and cruched.
about your question: i'm german but since about three and a half years i'm living in Algeria.
another recipe what to do with joghurt is: mix the yoghurt with cruched raw garlic and ..., what is the name in english??? cuncomber? grated, like carrotsalad, you see what i mean? is that the word? just before eating add a bit of salt (otherwise the yoghurt makes water). it is turkish and can accompagne all your dishes, espacially spicy dishes.
salam!

oh mashallah you're moroccain! you are my neighbour!
another receipe, me too i will do it this evening inchAllah:
gratin of potatoes:
heat the oven
cut potatos in very thin slides
take a plate like pyrex, ,that goes to oven, butter it
put the potatoslides in
put some salt, pepper and if you want muscad on
add some boiling milk
mix in a bol grated chees with one or two eggs
add this to the potatoes
put in the oven til potatoes are smooth and chesse golden
You have to make every day something for your calcium deficit, not only from time to time. ok, sister habibti?
lots of love too,

Do not worry too much sis about not liking dairy. Read this:
http://www.vegsource.com/articles/kradjian_milk.htm
I would suggest that you have a look to if you are getting enough fatty acids in addition to kalsium, they are an enabler for kalsiumintake as I have understood it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-3_fatty_acid
I take Omega 3 suppliments daily and recommend it higly. I could almost feel my bones sigh with relief upon receiving a daily supplement of this oil.
Best of health to ya!

Salam aleikum,
Where I come from we were given this from childhood. It is a fishoil. It is impossible, even where I live, to eat so much fish that I can benefit from this oil so well. I do not take a vitaminsupplement, my vitamins I eat, the omega 3 is a capsule of oil, a luxury I afford myself to keep my body and mind lubricated.
Enjoy your day dear

Sis Samiraa... you sure are one weird kid! Since when an Arab don't like milk? Hehe!
Ok so milk you don't like, cheese too I suppose, and yogurt which basically come from the same source (milk).
Hmmm...... I read you can get calcium from other than milk sources? But I can't recall what they are for now. But surely Ive read somewhere that milk is not the only source of calcium.
So till I remember what those food are, you go find out what they are lol... There is absolutely no need for you to force yourself for something you don't like!

I never tasted tofu have no idea what it tastes like actually. My mom often uses those herbs and I was just talking about milk powder that I saw it in the store and that I will get it insha'Allah. I do sometimes eat fish, but not enough. I actually don't know what ras malai exactly is. I do know that it's indian or pakistani, but more than that. I don't dare to eat ice cream seems so unhealthy and too much fat.
