                    Salam sisters,

I was just wondering if you could help me. I try to keep as active as I can here in England, I enjoy many things including reading about Islam and its many beautiful things.

I was just wondering about the topic of horse riding. I didnt know where to post this question so as I am a non-muslim (at the moment)   I felt it appropriate to post here.

Anyway, I was hoping there is some hadith or verse in the Qur'an about it. I have been told that the prophet (pbuh) used to ride horses, although I dont know if this is true. It was mainly in respect to the clothes you wear when on the horse.

I have been riding properly for about 6 years now, and I love to be outside with the horses, its just that now I feel uncomfortable in the clothes I wear. I have been thinking about wearing loose clothes over everything but dont know if this will be enough.

Please help
Assalamalikum

                    Hello Ammena
I used to love horse riding, but it is something I haven't done since taking my shahada. As I wear jelbab, scarf and niqab I imagine I would have to ride side saddle (like they did in the victrian era) I think I would do myself an injury

I believe horseriding along with archery and hunting are sunnah sports (please correct me if I am wrong sisters). It might be an idea to ask this question in the Islamic rulings forum.

                    greetings,
the appropriate place to ask this is the Islamic rulings forum. Please be advised that I moved the topic there and you can check for an answer God willing.
