Asalaam Alikum,
I have a question, and I hope it's not a stupid question.
I see a lot of Indian and Arab muslim women with there nose pircied. Small diamonad, rudy, studs. I think it looks pretty with hijab, Is there anything wrong in that? If i was to get my nose pirerced and wear a small stud, would this be bad? Maybe I'm wrong in thinking this looks nice with hijab.

assalamu alaikum

lol sis, i am a great example of that unfortunately

i kinda had a phase that i wanted to get my nose pierced really bad (it's in my culture but kinda died off with my parents' generation) and my friend really wanted it too..plus two of my other hijabi friends here had gotten it too, so i just did it..(about 3 months ago :? )

now, because i don't wear niqaab yet, i want to take it out....however, i just got an email from my grandma today that she is excited about "seeing my nose" this summer when i visit her in pakistan..and mashaAllah i love her to death, she is mashaAllah so religious, wears niqaab and everything..

anyways, since i am going in a few weeks, i will just wait and then take it out in summer after she sees..

but overall, people can't even tell i have my nose pierced unless they look really closely at the left side of my nose (which they usually don't, they're usually   staring at my hijaab and awkward styled (to them) clothes)

wa salaam

PS I am not really a piercing fanatic though i have double ears pierced on both ears and have one cartilage on left ear and one nose.....  laugh.gif (not something to be proud of in my opinion!)

Assalamou aleikoum wa Rahmatoullah wa barakatou

dear sis, maybe this will help??

[marq=left:ab1d176cac]     Question #8409: Piercing the nose and eyebrows

Question :

Is it permissible for a Muslim teenager who wears hijab to pierce her nose or eyebrow?

Answer :

Praise be to Allaah.

It is better not to do this, because it serves no purpose and causes pain and mutilation to the nose, and more son in the case of the eyebrow, by making holes in them. With regard to piercing the earlobes in order to wear earrings, this was the custom of women at the time of the Prophet  (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), so it is better to limit ourselves to that.

As Salaamu alaikum wa rahmatu Allahi wabarakaatu,

Can anyone find some daleel for the women during the time of the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa salaam piercing and wearing earrings? I need to locate it and show to a friend as her dh has the opinion that pierciing and wearing earrings and/ or jewelry along with wearing contacts (clear incolored ones instead of glasses) is something that changes the creation of Allah. I have given my dh this fatawa along with another one that I read in a book, for her dh but i want to find hadiths in regards to this. jazakum allahu khairan

subhanaka Allahumma ashadu an la ilaha ila anta, astaghfiruka wa atoobu ilaik

asalamu alaikum,

there is a fatwa in my books that says it is fine to pierce the nose and ears. I will have to look it up. So this is probably one of those area's that the scholars disagree.
