Salam Alaikum Sister,

I think your main problem is dull skin, right?

I've a few suggestions:

1) Drink plenty of water (the real H20, not sodas, etc)

2) Apply pure honey on your face (the purest you can get) at least once a day, to be put on at least one to two hours a day. (You can have it on while watching tv, reading book, surfing the net, etc). This is a real good way to make your skin glowy and healthy (It takes away the dullness of the skin making it look fresh).

3) Take pure honey every morning and every night. It will take away the darkness of your under eyes- maybe not the whole thing, but it will lessen the darkness.

4) Slice some cucumbers and press it on your eyelids. Yes,

5) As for make-up. Try the new Maybelline foundation, which works as a foundation as well as a concealer- but it is better than concealer. The usual concealer stick is a bit too thick and it can be easy to come out looking fakey face- but this new foundation is extra-light, when you apply it you won't notice much differnce except for the less visible darkness. Choose the one which is a shade very slightly lighter than your tone. For example, if you are brown, buy the a little bit lighter brown tone- not the white tone and so on and so forth. Here is how the new foundation looks like:
[Description of Product- Taken from the maybelline site:
Liquid foundation turns to powder for a flawless, ultra-                           lightweight finish
Blends easily and never clogs pores
                           Provides longlasting, medium coverage
                           Oil-free formula
Contains SPF 15 sunscreen to protect skin] [/color]

Note: Use only in EXTREME cases :!:

6) You can also try this masque (in the picture) which Ive tried- I tried the cooling mud pack. It is cooling, and when you are done- you will literally stare to your face on the mirror- not believing that it could actually look THAT good! biggrin.gif   Go on, give it a try 8) :

All the best! biggrin.gif

As-Salaamu'Alaikum

Hope this helps. Inshallah

Eye Care

1) The best overall eye tonic is eyebright (an herb). Make a tea of it and either use the teabags or soak cotton balls or soft gauze in the tea and apply to eyes as a compress while lying down.

2) For puffy and swollen eyes, make a wet compress of 4 Tbsp. freshly grated raw potato. Place on the eyes for about 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water.

3) To reduce swelling and for bags under the eyes, brew a cup of strong rosehip tea. Soak 2 cotton balls in the tea or use 2 tea bags, lie down and place over the eyes.

4) For dark cirles, cut a fresh fig in half, place a half over each eye.

5) To soothe tired, irritated eyes, cut the end of a cumber into 1/4 in thick slices. Apply a cool slice to each eye.

6) Raw potato slices laid on sore eyes reduces heat and redness.

7) For eye puffiness, any tea bag (herbal is better, especially eyebright), slightly cooled, placed on the eyes while you rest.

8 ) For tired or bloodshot eyes, soak sterile cotton balls or soft cloth in cold skim milk. Place over eyes for 10 minutes. Rinse entire face in warm, then cool, water.

9) To lighten dark circles under your eyes, wrap a grated raw potato in cheesecloth and apply to eyelids for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

asalam alaikum sisters

what a lot people dont realize is that dark circles are hireditary. but drinking lots of water and doing some light massage work can help to release the toxins stored in the fatty tissue surrounding the eyes.

you can not get rid of dark circles completely but you can minimize them.  as a beauty therapist you are taught this and shown basic ways to help women with this problem.

try this massage for starters take index finger with a small amount of eye cream, dot is around the eye are, and them in slow movements and little pressure move from your inner part of the eye and work away from the nose and across towards the outer edge of the eye where the crows feet form, and then pull the skin upwards slightly until you reach the outer eyerow area and work through the brows until you reach back to where you began. repeat this about 5-10 times repeat morning and night and inshallah you should begin to see a slight difference after about 2 weeks.

Salam Sis--
i have had the same problem since birth. First of all, make sure you have the proper skin care regime. Make sure that you put moisturizer on at night(A thicker cream w/out oils) and one in the morning w/ SPF(again no oils) At most drugstores you can get creams to somewhat reduce their appearance such a Vita K and St Ives. In terms of makeup, apply concealer about 1/2-1 shade lighter than your foundation. Use your ring finger to apply around the bone of the eye! Hope this helps! If you or any other sisters have skincare Q's feel free to PM or AIM.
salam, megyn

Wa Alykum assalam,

I read about under eye circles and it being a lack of vitamin C in the system. And also to use vitamin E oil on them daily and that would help.
But if it is heriditary then I dont know what you would do in that case.

A good undereye concealer would work as well and the best I have found is by Mary Kay cosmetics. Totally covers it all day long!

Hope this helps...smile.gif
