[b]Asalamu Alaikum,
I am so stressed out being one of the only Muslims in my area! I am a college student that converted to Islam 3 years ago. I have been having it extremely hard. I just recently, December 18th to be exact, began to wear Hijab fully! I am very proud of it. It just breaks my heart that I have never been to a mosque for prayer. I have been longing for true guidance from a sister but can't seem to meet sisters willing to communicate! Sisters please respond!
Salam,
A'isha

assalamu alaikom
Aisha, I'm sorry you're feeling so alienated. I know how uplifting it is to attend a muslim sisters group, and I hope you can find one sometime soon! Is there a mosque near you? Check the yellow pages or call information. Be strong and pray for Allah to guide you.

Assalaamu alaikum,
You might try using http://www.islamicfinder.org/ to find a masjid near you. I hope that there is one within driving distance so you can join a muslim community. I feel very fortunate that when I reverted, the sisters in my community were very supportive and helpful. I love all my new muslim friends.

Welcome to our forum sis a'isha
I'm sure sis that this insha Allah is just a tough transition period. Where are you at? maybe some sisters here are close by? Are there no masjeds at all in close towns to you?
Sis being the only muslimah in your area (or among very few) only insha Allah makes your reward for practicing islam multiplied. You definately go through a harder time trying to apply islam correctly than those of us in islamic communities and with support.
Remember sis you have Allah by your side always, but it is understandable you need to meet sisters. sis make lots of sincere duaa to Allah to send you sisters to support you and insha Allah Allah will never leave you alone.
Insha Allah you will meet lots of great sisters in our site. Some are converts have gone thru very similar experiences as yourself. We are all here for you insha Allah for any support and advice you need

I empathise with your feelings sister, I am not in the US but UK and since I reverted I never found a mosque or community that I truly felt at ease with; may Allah reward the patient. If you want to PM me then please feel free to do so

are wonderful sisters on this site

Just know that this isolation that
