Assalaam Alykum,
I converted about five years ago,but due to a tragic event I lost my memory and just recently regained my past.It is a complicated story that involved being raped and drugged and nearly losing my life.Since my husband was not a Muslim he did not encourage me to get back my memories.I managed after 2 years to find my way back to Allah.I suffer from Post Tramtic Stress Syndrome,and until just recentlyI still had flashbacks of those tragic events.I cried for almost 6 months feeling guilty for not remembering that I was Muslim.The man who did these things to me claimed to be Muslim.I was reading the post leaving Islam,and I wondered what is the ruling on a situation such as mine.I would appreciate any advice you could give

:cry: I'm so sorry at your situation. Honestly, I am speechless and thoughtless on how such a tragic thing could have occurred to you
As far as I know, if you do something without knowing it (ie. disease, unconscious, etc.) you will not be taken account for it. Islam is a practical religion.
Maybe I am not getting the right impression, but you didn't "leave Islam" on purpose, it was the loss of memory which caused this? If you didn't associate partners with Allah, then you are still Muslim inshallah. Just start over, start new. If it makes you feel better to say your Shahadah again, do so, sis.
Just know, Allah is the most forgiving and merciful.
Inshallah, I hope your situation turns out to be better

I also do not understand how you come to conclude that you have left Islam.

What a horrible story! I am so sorry that that happened. Alhamdullilah you are regaining your memory to realize that you were/are Muslim.
And, no, like the above hadeeth says, from what you have told us you did not leave Islam.

If you are looking for a nearby mosque i highly recommend:

all you do is enter the city and state you are in and they will pull up the closest mosques to your home
