As-salamu alaikum,

My dentist said that they would not push the other teeths, after I asked because I noticed that my front teeth somehow were pushed forward while the wisdom teeth were growing. And when I got rid of all the 4 wisdom teeths - that had not enough space and hurt alot -  I could see the difference and felt much better as if the other teeths returned to their place.

Salam alaikum,

Well, you really need to have a dentist look and see actually. Have you seen a dentist for this??
It all depends. Some people never have a problem with them pushing their other teeth, others do, for some they are painful. And some peoples wisdom teeth are impacted (below the gums) and actually sideways, not up and down..
Also, they are more prone to decay as they are farther back and more difficult to clean.
I had mine surgically removed, they were impacted plus I have a small mouth so, they needed to come out.

Please see your dentist about it, and see what they tell you. Inshallah they won't be a problem for you.

I've read that our jaws are not as large as they used to be, as we have adapted and really no longer need the wisdom teeth at all.

Salaam sis

I agree with MissKitty. Alot of cases, a persons wisdom tooth will start to come out, and there won't be enough space for it to adjust, therefore pushing the adjacent tooth & and causing the other teeth to shift which can result in slanted teeth. I would go the Dentist and get his opinion. Sometimes the teeth never come out subhannallah and other times they do but cause no pain. I've heard that getting your wisdom teeth extracted is very painful, and mine are still in my mouth and in contact w/ other teeth, and alhamdillah, havent had any problems at all. I hope this helps sister.

Wasalaam
