Asalaamu Alaikum,

I recently was reading an article and came across this: http://www.mysweetpeace.com/#/explore/features/sensibility/

What are your opinions on it?

I am not too crazy about it personally. I am sure it could definitely be beneficial for example, if you have twins, multiple young children, or need to leave the baby with someone, but as far as in-house goes, I would much prefer baby-wearing and handling the baby, rather than depending on a machine to do so many soothing tasks for me that really only a mother can do.

Assalamu alaikum,

I would be afraid it would be knocked over and wouldn't stay stable, especially with other kids in the house. Upto what age is this fine? I think it would be expensive as its usage would be limited. Another thing is that it is better for such small babies if they could lie on their back on a flat surface and not in a car seat or a seat like that (ok this one is not as deep as a car seat, still I do not think it is good for the back).

I wouldn't use it personally (plus I have enough hands now in the house biggrin.gif)

Salaam

I think its really nice but it may not be a good idea. What if the child gets used to being rocked and wants to be rocked alllll the time....

Assalamu alaykum,

ITs a good alternative to a swing, and the motions are preferrable as you can rock the baby side to side. However it is a good thing for 1st/2nd born, after that it might be too large or unsafe with other little kids in the house. I didnt by or need any large expensive gadgets with hajar, as she had all her brothers to rock, throw, play, amuse her.

As for the swaddle blanket, in the middle east the women always wrap there babies like that and so i did with my kids. Some like it and enjoy to sleep all tight and snug, and so absolutly hated it, and had to be arms free.

As for the toys you get with it, i found that my 1st born didnt really respond to toys as he had no on e to copy, and would prefer human interaction instead of lumps of plastic. The further down the line the kids got the more interested in toys they become, but deffinately the boys didnt like any soft toys. Hajar despite being in a house of all boys and not mixing with girls, picks up an old dolly left by one of my friends years ago and starting to put it to sleep.

However the biggest fear for me in investing in this model would be that the baby would hate it and not really like it, so it would be a waste of money. I found some of my kids didnt like to be rocked at all, and needed to fall asleep still.

Unless you buy it from a store where they have a no quibble 14 day money back guarrentee..
