Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem

My favorite hadiths

Volume 9, Book 93, Number 502:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (salla allah alaih wa sallam) said, "Allah says: 'I am just as My slave thinks I am, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him) and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running."
This is my favorite Hadith. An 18 year old girl had told me part of the Hadith during Ramadan last year. She had told me that it was her favorite Hadith. I had thanked her for telling me. A couple of months ago I came across it while reading “The Noble Qu’ran” it was in the footnotes. And then I understood why she loved it and had found it to be my favorite Hadith. I love the fact that if I go towards ALLAH in that HE comes to me more than I to HIM. I do wonder though if I somehow could go running to ALLAH how would HE come to me. It does give comfort to know that HE is with me and will come to me if only I would go to HIM. “ALLAH Akbar”

Volume 9, Book 93, Number 652:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (salla allah alaih wa sallam) said, "(There are) two words which are dear to the Beneficent (Allah) and very light (easy) for the tongue (to say), but very heavy in weight in the balance. They are: 'Subhan Allah wa-bi hamdihi' and 'Subhan Allah Al-'Azim." (See Hadith No. 673, Vol. 8).
I think that we should praise ALLAH every second if not by our tongue at least by our hearts. As HE is the all knower of everything that we do. I feel that I and a lot of people do not praise him enough in our daily lives or that we tend to forget HIM because we are to busy or we just forgot to. This Hadith helps me to remember to think of ALLAH and give HIM praise. 'Subhan Allah wa-bi hamdihi'
Volume 1, Book 11, Number 626:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (salla allah alaih wa sallam) said, "No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the 'Isha' prayers and if they knew the reward for these prayers at their respective times, they would certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they had to c awl." The Prophet sally Allah wa salaam, added, "Certainly I decided to order the Mu'adh-dhin (call-maker) to pronounce Iqama and order a man to lead the prayer and then take a fire flame to burn all those who had not left their houses so far for the prayer along with their houses."
I have finally learned the complete salaat and am finding it hard to do my prayers at every time yet inshaallah I will be able to do so. I have also found it very hard to pray at the mosque as the Imam goes to fast for me. When I pray I do not like to rush it. I feel that if I rush my time with ALLAH he will not have time for me or he will rush his time with me. “Le Illa Illallah”
Volume 8, Book 76, Number 515
Narrated Abu Musa
The prophet (salla allah alaih wa sallam) said: “Whoever loves the meeting with ALLAH. ALLAH to loves the meeting with him. Whoever hates the meeting with ALLAH, ALLAH to hates the meeting with him.”
I myself would certainly love to meet ALLAH but yet I would be too ashamed to stand before HIM as I feel that I am unworthy because of my neglect and laziness towards Islam. Inshaallah I will not feel unworthy and go to the right path set before me.
Volume 9, Number 385
Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah
Some angels came to Prophet Mohammad (salla allah alaih wa sallam) while he was sleeping. Some of them said, “He is sleeping.” Others said, “His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake.” Then they said, “There is an example for this companion of yours.” One of them said, “Then set forth an example for him.” Some of them said, “He is sleeping:” The others said, “His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake.” Then they said, “His example is that of a man who has built a house and then offered therein a banquet and sent an inviter (messenger) to invite the people. So whoever accepted the invitation of the inviter, entered the house and ate of the banquet, and whoever did not accept the invitation of the inviter, did not enter the house, nor did he eat of the banquet.” Then the angels said, “Interpret this parable for him so that he may understand it.” Some of the angels said, “He is sleeping.” The others said, “His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake.” And then they said, “The house stands for paradise and the call-maker is Muhammad sally Allah wa salaam, and whoever obeys Muhammad (salla allah alaih wa sallam) obeys ALLAH; and whoever disobeys Muhammad (salla allah alaih wa sallam) disobeys ALLAH. Muhammad (salla allah alaih wa sallam) separated the people (i.e. through his message; the good is distinguished from the bad, and the believers from the disbelievers.”
I think that if we obey the words of ALLAH (the Qu’ran) and Prophet Muhammad sally Allah wa salaam, (the hadiths) then we will get to eat at the banquet and stay therein paradise I hope we all can as Muslims we all have been invited yet do we choose to accept or decline our invitations? Also how do we keep our hearts awake when we are sleeping?
