Niqab and Dress on Hajj
Posted 10 July 2010 - 06:16 PM
those sects who are deemed to be non-Muslim by ijma (and this does not include shia) of the ulema past and present are not allowed to enter Makkah or Madinah nor are they issued the visas for hajj and umrah this includes the NOI; Ahmadiyyah, Ismailis, Dawoodi Bohras etc etc. This is a commonly known fact. There may have been incidences in the past where NOI members got to visit Makkah but we do not know the circumstances under which that was, perhaps at that time those individuals were briefly upon mainstream Islam; or perhaps they lied when applying for a visa to get into the two holy cities; Wallaahu Alim. As I said if shia were non-Muslim by consensus then they would not be allowed on hajj or umrah; full stop.
I think it might have been the case for in the time of king fahad, but the present day walee of umr welcomes all religions.
