I have been sitting here over the last few days and I have been thinking ( i know that is scary all on its own
![tongue.gif](style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
I mean I pray my 5 times a day...make du'aa...say dhikr...read Quran...I do those things...but when I read stories about early Islam...everything they did it seems was about the religion...
So often excuses are made to be late for prayer...or read to wait to read Quran...or to shorten the time spent doing these things...We now have playstation and our computers and cell phones and etc. etc. etc.
My question is what can we do to encourage ourselves and each other to be more like the Prophet (SAW) and his companians?
I read a story the other day...I think it was on this site about a man who was stabbed while praying...he finished his prayers and then went home...I am afraid that if that would have been me...my prayers would not have been finished that day (astagfirullah).....
If my post sounds judgmental of others...i apologize...I don't know what is anyones heart nor what they do....My comments about ourselves and others is there because I am pretty sure that their are others here who feel the same as me...that no matter how much I do..I feel that it is no where near enough.
