Asalaamu Alaykum
I would like to know what the ruling is regarding a person who asks for Fatwas or evidence in regards to something and then does not follow the ruling or the answer that was shown? or even someone who did not ask but read the fatwa or heard about it.
I hope that this makes sense.

Answer:
Dear questioner:
Al-Salâm `Alaykum wa Rahmah Allah wa Barakâtuh.
We cannot answer such a question, because the answer depends on too many unknown variables, among them:
- the reason why the person does not act upon the fatwâ
- the level of knowledge of that person
- the other opinions that person has encountered
- what that person understands from the fatwâ
- the extent to which that person deems that fatwâ to be correct
